My Story
So, how did it all start?
Firstly I’m going to take you back 20 years to 2002 – I was just leaving my previous successful career as a computer programmer. I was in the middle of re-training into the health and fitness industry, and taking a degre in Nutritonal Medicine. I also moved from the south to the midlands with my husband, and was pregnant with my first child.
Fast forward to 2020 - running a Pilates business and working as a Nutritional Therapist for a supplement company.
Unfortunately, during the first lockdown, I was made redundant ☹
At that point I made the decision to stay self-employed and take on a course (💷 💷 💰 💰) to create my own signature programme. I went through the course, sold a couple of nutrition packages but it never really took off in a group format.
But that course has helped me realise that I’m an entrepreneur, love learning and I really enjoy a challenge.

The signature programme course had set me up on Click Funnels (website and sales funnels builder), and Active Campaign (email marketing software) etc. Unfortunately it was costing me over £100 per month to run. I knew there must be a more affordable software out there so I searched the internet, did lots of research and came upon Systeme.
It had a great write up and what was appealing to me was that they offer a free forever plan. This gives you the opportunity to sign up and try it out for as long as you wish. Other free software plans are often time limited.
So I signed up there and then and tried it out. Immediately, I felt ‘at home’ and I was able to build 3 sales/lead funnels for my fitness and health business within a short space of time:
✔️ Pilates class monthly recurring payment
✔️ one-off payment to offer my beginners Pilates course (with course membership thrown in)
✔️ lead magnet to encourage potential clients to sign up to my email list for receiving a low cost or free gift from me
Benefits of creating those funnels
✔️ I moved my existing Pilates clients over to the recurring payment and this has saved me hours in chasing payments. 😊
✔️ I had a link for people to pay for my one-off courses, which made it easier for customers to buy my course and indeed it's less work for me as it's on auto-pilot.
✔️ Lead magnet (low cost or free) - potential clients were able to find out more about what I had to offer before they committed to a block of classes or monthly payment.
✔️ course/membership – this gave my clients added value as I am able to record the sessions and offer them an on-demand video to catch up if they miss a session.
Going back to Systeme - I found it clear and easy to use and much more responsive and because I love tech (yep I know, someone has to!), I decided to move my business completely over to Systeme.
After 14 years of working as a Nutritional Therapist, I realised I wanted to move away from this area and bring my therapist and technical skills together in helping others do what I've done on Systeme.
